i have a list of 'to do's' before i die. as morbid as that sounds, it keeps my life exciting if i'm always looking for the next thing to cross off of my list and constantly adding things to the list.
take up smoking and quit cold turkey.
learn how to swim.
stay up all night to watch the sunrise and eat blueberries.
street preach.
own a fish.
make a friend who doesn't speak any english and try to learn their language (ebonics doesn't count since i can already hit up dat shit like a mo fo).
go back to the pc.
do some missionary work outside of the states.
backpack in europe.
go hangliding or sky diving.
save someone's life.
when i was in florida, i accomplished three of my 'to do's':
1. watch the sunrise and the sunset in one day
2. surprise someone elaborately.
3. make someone laugh until they cry.
the best part is that God knows well the dreams that are on my list; and He loves me so much that He allows me to keep some of those plans, and then knows my heart so well that He turns them into something that i could not imagine, but that is so much more fulfilling because it is ordained by Him.
oh Lord, you have searched me and you know me.
you know when i sit and when i rise,
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
before a word is even on my tongue, Lord
you know it.
behind and before me you encircle me,
you rest your hand upon me.
such knowledge is far beyond me,
far too lofty for me to reach.
how precious to me are your designs, oh my Lord!
how vast are your works!
if i were to count them, they would outnumber the sands,
to number them, i would need eternity!
